Welcome to the fourteenth video in my "'A Christmas Carol' GCSE English Literature Revision" series! In this video, I focus on the depiction of the Ghost of Christmas Present and how this fits into the overall ideas of the story.
In particular, I focus on many different aspects of its appearance, the joviality of its dialogue, how it is clearly generous and sympathetic (which might make it a good role model for Scrooge to follow), and also how and why it turns nasty. Links to context, analysis of key quotations, and a multi-tiered analysis of just who or what this Spirit may be are all included in this video, so you might want to grab a pen and some paper before you watch it! There's also a summary at the end, as well as a question for you to reflect on too.
