Hello Youtube, We decided this week to wild camp near the River Derwent as we have walked past this spot a while ago when we wild camped millican daltons cave, really easy to access as its over the road from a lay-by, although you have to cross the river to get over the other side. Brilliant location and a really good night.

Fires when wild camping... Before anybody tells me this is illegal, I totally understand this and you shoudlnt be burning grass etc. The only reason we decided to light a fire is because someone had already had one previously and we only lit the fire where the old spot was, we didnt burn any other grass and we cleaned up when we left, we also put our fires out before we go to bed. I hope this clears this up if anybody is bothered,
