Kretzulescu Church is a historical monument, an emblematic building of Bucharest, Romania's capital city. Kretzulescu Church is a historic Eastern Orthodox church built between 1720-1722 in the Brâncovenesc style, located in the heart of Bucharest, on Calea Victoriei next to the Royal Palace. The church is built in the shape of a cross, with a bell tower on the pronaos. The façade made of brick replaced the original one which was painted. The porch decorated with Byzantine frescoes dating from the original structure has five arches, on the west facade, and two arches on the two sides. The interior of the church is adorn with frescoes from 1859-1860 and beautifully carved wooden iconostasis.
