Fulifilled my long time vision to teach Quantum Leap for Young Adults by KWKC in Africa. Hosted our first QL workshop on December 27th, 2022 in my hometown, Eldoret, Kenya. We had a total of 171 youth in attendance. It was beyond life changing! We went 9 hours straight and the participants stayed engaged the entire time. The youth wrote their mission statements and I finally read them on the flights back to the US this past 24 hours. Cried the entire time reading about their dreams and aspirations. I’m so grateful to our KWKC community for all that we do to change lives. Thank you Brandi Nunez Lauve, Jessica Estrada Wolf, Jackie Millanand Franklin Mateo for supporting me and helping make the event so successful. Thank you for keeping in touch with me while I was in Kenya managing some challenging logistics. Grateful to my local team in Kenya that included church leaders, community leaders, parents and volunteers. We had a strong group managing logistics on the ground. They registered 74 before the workshop and 171 showed up the morning of the event. Grateful to my nephew Khalifa Koech and my 14 year-old daughter Kemi who worked alongside the Kenya team throughout the day in making sure we stayed on schedule/task. Kemi took QL online in 2021 and was able to repeatedly affirm the content and also shared her life experiences after taking QL with the youth.
I have done many things in life to help others. Yet this experience has impacted and inspired me to expand my vision in ways I didn’t imagine. The feedback from the workshop participants and their parents has reminded me of the need to help young people all over the world to achieve their life mission.
