Building Coastal Resilience in the Rockaways 🌾🌊 The Surfrider Foundation partnered with @riserockaway in honor of New York Climate Week to install native plant species and restore coastal dunes at Rockaway Beach in New York. Dune restoration directly contributes to climate action by strengthening coastal resilience against sea-level rise, storm surge, and erosion — protecting coastal communities and habitats while sequestering carbon and enhancing biodiversity.
