Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech says the new Navman ALTA Dashcam is designed to “blend into your car”.
“If you position it behind your rearview mirror, the driver can’t even see it,” Mr Fenech told Sky News Australia.
“In terms of viewing the content – if there is sudden braking or an impact, the G-sensor puts the video that was being recorded into a special folder and you can access it wirelessly using your smartphone.
“It also has a parking mode, with the addition of a smart box, you can actually record while you’re parked – if someone backs into your car in a car park, doesn’t leave a note, you’re able to see the whole thing in full HD video.
“Dashcams are becoming a really essential part of the car right now.”
