Technology is a wonderful tool. It has allowed me to make amazing friends from around the world, improve education for children, and have a rewarding career. But it is so powerful and so convenient and so expansive, it can consume our lives if we let it. It is critical that both we as adults and our students learn about Digital Wellbeing. We need to be able to find balance in our lives with our use of technology. We need to learn effective ways to manage our use of technology so it does not negatively impact other areas of our lives, while also finding how technology can be a positive impact on our mental and emotional health.
