DAIVA SANNIDHI-Bhishma (Bheeshma) Pitamah Temple, Bhishma Kund, Baan Ganga, Narakatari, Kurukshetra
According to the Mahabharata, during 10th day of kurukshetra battle the great Bhishma Pitamaha lie on the bed of arrows shot by Arjuna in this is the place. It is said that Bhisma felt thirsty while lying on the Mrityu Shaiyya, Arjuna then shot an arrow in the earth and a stream of water came out which satisfied quench of Bhishma. There is a small temple with idols of Bhishma lying on the death bed and all the pandavs along side and kund is close to this temple. This place is between Jyotisar (Bhagwad Gita place) and Brahma Sarovar in a village called Narakatari, Kurukshetra, Haryana State.
