In this video, I am using a sausage grinder to make pine bark for bonsai soil. Pine bark is easy to obtain from a nursery or a big box store. However, it has to be prepared for use in a bonsai soil mix. I like to use bark as it breaks down and gives the tree some nutrients. It is a lot cheaper to produce your own soil than it is to buy it commercially.
