Senior journalist Gauri Lankesh was murdered outside her home in Bengaluru on September 5 by unidentified assailants. She was a known critic of hindu extremism and communal politics. People have compared her murder to those of Govind Pansare, M.M. Kalburgi and Narendra Dabholkar.
