Rare Bengal tiger quintuplets recently made their debut at Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park in south China's Guangdong Province. Born on Sept. 12, 2024, the quintuplets are living with their 6-year-old mother, Weiwei.
The three male cubs are named Weilong, Weiguan and Weibo, while the two female cubs are called Weilu and Weishui.
Quintuplets are unusual for Bengal tigers, as females typically give birth to two or three cubs at a time.
The Bengal tiger is one of the world's most endangered species under China's top-class protection. At present, Chimelong Safari Park is home to nearly 300 tigers, forming the largest population of Bengal tigers in China.
