The Fourth of July weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in the Tahoe Basin, but state park officials said this year they’re seeing an estimated 30% more tourists than expected. Adding to the influx of tourists, is a shortage of employees. A problem South Lake Tahoe typically sees this time of year, when the town of 25,000 residents swells to over 100,000 with tourists.
