We all love Bharwa Sabzi, be it Bharwa Baingan, Karela, Shimla Mirch or Bhindi. Bharwa Masala is the common ingredient in any of the Bharwa Sabzi and it is always a good idea to keep this masala stocked in your kitchen. So, friends please try this recipe of Bharwa masala which will lend a special and unique taste to your Bharwa Sabzi.
Ingredients:
Fennel seeds (Saunf): ½ cup (50 gm)
Kalonji:1/2 tablespoon (10 gm)
Coriander Seeds (Dhania whole): ½ cup (50 gm)
Cumin Seeds (Zeera): 2 tablespoon (20 gm).
Fenugreek Seeds (Methi): 3/4 tablespoon (10 gm).
Asfoetida (Heeng): ¼ tablespoon (5 gm)
Dried Mango Powder (Amchur): 2 tablespoon (20 gm).
Method of Preparation:
Take all the masala (except Heeng & Amchur) in a pan and dry roast them for about 5 minutes till the colour changes to light brownish and a nice aroma starts coming out of them.
Switch off the gas and take the dry roasted masala in a plate. Now in the pan which s in heated condition, dry roast the heeng.
Let the earlier roasted masala cool down for about 3-4 minutes and grind them in a grinder to form a coarse mixture.
Mix Heeng & Amchur well with the mixture.
Your Bharwa Masala is ready. Use this to prepare all your Stuffed Vegetables.
