In this video, I discuss some of the essential items you need to succeed at the Skyway fishing pier, or any pier for that matter. Some of those items include a tackle bag with tackle such as a leader, hooks, weights, swivels, and lures. You also need a castnet; I used a ten-foot Big Gulp cast net 3/8 inch and 1.5 lbs per foot in this demonstration. This will help get the net down quick enough but prevent the gilling of baits. Next, you need a place to store your bait and keep them alive or fresh. I love my @XTremeBaitTanks when I am housing a lot of bait, but If I know I only need to keep a couple dozen alive, then I will often use my insulated Yeti bucket and my new rechargeable @Engel-Coolers aerator.
