In this quick lesson I explain what a 9th is and how it can be used. The 9th is just the 9th degree of the scale, with is also the same as the 2nd.
It can be added to chords to give a warm, rich texture. It can also be used when improvising - the 9th gives such a lovely sound and can really take your playing to the next level.
