Cookeville Tn is the largest city between Knoxville and Nashville on I40. Cookeville has a population of 35,000 and Putnam county has a population of 80,000. Cookeville is 80 miles East of Nashville and 100 miles west of Knoxville., It is located in the highland rim which is an area of rolling hills and valleys at 1,100 feet elevation. Tennessee Tech University is located in Cookeville and has an enrollment of 10,000 students. Tennessee Tech emphasizes fields like engineering , technology , and computer science.
