"07616 Madurai to Kacheguda Express Special" is a weekly EXPRESS train which starts from Madurai (MDU) in Tamil Nadu at 1.15 PM on Sunday and reaches Kacheguda (KCG) in Telangana at 1.25 PM on Monday. It reaches Kurnool City (KRNT) at 7.58 AM on Monday

4) LOCATION:
Krishna Nagar is a locality in Kurnool situated west to Kurnool - Dhone diesel single rail line. Earlier it had a manned level railway crossing which paved way to an underpass three years back.

Kurnool often referred to as 'The Gateway of Rayalaseema' is the proposed judicial capital of Andhra Pradesh. It formerly served as the capital of Andhra State (1953–1956). It is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra and Hundry rivers. Although the area has been inhabited for thousands of years, modern Kurnool was founded in the 16th century CE with the construction of the Konda Reddy Fort.


5) ELECTRIFICATION UPDATE:
South Central Railways is executing the electrification work on the Kurnool - Dhone Jn stretch through its PSU 'Rail Vikas Nigam Limited' (RVNL)


6) ROUTE:
It passes through Dindigul Jn, Karur Jn, Erode Jn, Jolarpettai Jn, Katpadi Jn, Pakala Jn, Dharmavaram Jn, Kurnool City and Mahbubnagar.

It has 19 intermediate stops. It covers a distance of about 1289 kms in about 24 hours

Here it is powered by 40355 Gooty (GY) WDP 4D locomotive having power of 4500 hp.
