During the flashback scene, Jack is seen taking command of the Wicked Wench, but this is actually the Black Pearl. In the book Piratesof the Caribbean: The Price of Freedom, the ship is set ablaze, and Davy Jones brings her back from the depths. It’s then that Jack renames the ship, and this is also when he strikes his deal with Davy that is mentioned in Dead Man’s Chest. There is also a cameo appearance of Captain Edward Teague as a much younger man during the flashback that explains the history of Captain Salazar and Captain Jack Sparrow. While he isn’t played by Keith Richards in the flashback, his likeness is used.
