Betsi Akerstein, a choreographer/dancer graduate from Boston University founded Urbanity Dance Company three years ago which has become increasingly successful. With her 30 dedicated dancers, she has been able to create inordinate work and has received recognition along with funding. Betsi strives to incorporate recycled materials for her productions which will be shown during Urbanity Dance Company's performance "The Story of Stuff" on November 27th, 2010. Dana Lagomarsino of Frequency555.com met up with Betsi at the Boston Ballet to talk about the company, future performances, and to also participate in one of her classes.
