Calling all educators in the Great Lakes region – check out this new virtual resource for your in-person or at-home classrooms! The commission’s communications team has created a virtual Great Lakes sea lamprey outreach video, complete with associated worksheets for students, and a personalized Q&A session afterwards, if requested.
Even though we are not able to be in classrooms this spring for hands-on outreach opportunities, we are excited to be able to get the message out about the invasive sea lamprey through this alternative approach. The video covers the topics of sea lamprey anatomy, history and invasion of the Great Lakes, life cycle, and control with plenty of cool (and creepy!) sea lamprey footage.
