🔹BMK’s contribution to Carnatic music in general, and sustaining its appeal to the larger audiences without any compromise in particular will be long remembered and cherished. The least of the reasons for that will be his most innovative and highly endearing Bhakti Ranjani.

🔸Bhakti Ranjani, a morning spiritual tonic that was being aired by All India Radio in those days was indeed an innovative and creative contribution of many artistes.

🔹We have been offering a collection of some of the rare gems sung by BMK together with other artistes. Some of these recordings are as old as 1958. As one listens, the listener experiences a profound devotional mood and tastes the spiritual aura it creates.

🔸In this upload, we present you some selected verses from Kulashekara Alwar’s Mukunda Māla.

chintayāmi harimēva santataṃ
mandamanda hasitānanāmbujaṃ
nandagōpatanayaṃ parātparaṃ nāradādimunibṛndavanditam ॥ 8 ॥

sarasijanayanē saśaṅkhachakrē
murabhidi mā virama svachitta rantum ।
sukhataramaparaṃ na jātu jānē
