Satyavati declined, citing her duties. Sage Parashar blessed her, turning her fishy odor into a divine fragrance. They wed, and their son Vyasa was born. King Shantanu later noticed Satyavati and proposed marriage. Her father set a condition: only Satyavati's son would inherit the throne. Shantanu agreed, and they had a grand royal wedding. Satyavati became a regal queen in Hastinapur, playing a crucial role in the kingdom and during the Mahabharata war preparations. Her son Vyasa, inspired by divine wisdom, wrote the epic Mahabharata, ensuring her legacy endured.
