'최강한파' 서울 아침 -12도…바람 불어 체감온도 '뚝'
Korea is facing its most severe cold snap yet, with morning temperatures plunging to record lows for this winter season.
The mercury in Seoul plunged to minus twelve-point-two degrees Celsius, while Chuncheon in Gangwon-do Province was the coldest…with a morning low of minus 14-point-six degrees.
The Korea Meteorological Administration has issued a cold wave alert for the central region and inland areas.
Daytime highs will climb to minus four degrees to three degrees Celsius, but the wind chill will make it feel even colder.
The national weather agency says morning lows in inland regions will remain as low as minus ten degrees for the time being.
It's advising citizens to be mindful of their health... and their water pipes.
