Listen to this informative seminar which aims to identify how Menopause impacts both the employee and the employer and what you can do to support staff through any symptoms and generate awareness in the workplace. Today’s workforce is prominently in the over 50 age bracket, with a large percentage being female, this topic is arising more frequently within the workplace.
Hosted by Pamela Ballantine, the webinar begins with Tara Grimes, a local menopause advocate, speaking about the common symptoms women are likely to encounter and how they can impact on a day to day basis within the workplace. You will also hear hints and tips on how to manage these symptoms.
This will be followed by Jennifer Cruickshank, HR/CR Manager at Henry Brothers, one of our local construction companies, where female workers are operating within a male dominated industry. Hear how Henry’s have implemented training and support – for both male and female employees and learn best practice that you could take forward to your own organisation.
Finally, listen to Ann McAleer, Policy Engagement & Equality Officer at Mid Ulster District Council detail the steps needed to create a Menopause Support Policy. Ann speaks about the groups employers should consult with to assist in creating a robust but appropriate policy, the obstacles encountered, the benefits of the policy and what else needs to be considered. The webinar ends with a Q&A session.
