In the first part of the exercise we are giving this feeling and its sensations some room to increase the body's capacity to better hold these 'negative' and 'unwanted' feelings. In the second part we are looking at the opposite of these feelings, a feeling of calm and being at peace, a feeling of being in balance and expanding these positive emotional states in the body...

My name is Melanie and I am a psychologist and trauma psychotherapist with focus on somatic therapies, such as Somatic Experiencing and Integral Somatic Psychology.
Based on ideas of Dr. Joe Dispenza and principles of Somatic Experiencing by Peter Levine and Integral Somatic Psychology by Dr. Raja Selvam, I am guiding somatic body exercises, and somatic healing meditations to release stress & anxiety and to expand the experience of positive emotional states.
Especially repeated stress and/or trauma conditions the body to react to certain situations in the same way, being stuck in a negative body reaction loop, relieving the stress and/ or trauma, feeling negative emotions and consequently creating negative thoughts, which in turn leads to more negative emotions. Through this embodiment of positive emotional states (=eopes) we are guiding and retraining the body to feel positive emotions better again.
