Today’s observability tools aren’t keeping because they were designed to store and analyze siloed data. Even worse, they lose important context as you move between different data silos and don't allow for ad-hoc exploration -- and they cost a fortune.
Observe was founded based on the simple idea that useful insights can be gained by correlating and analyzing all of the disparate machine data (e.g. logs, traces, metrics, user actions, etc.) We believed that by organizing this overwhelming body of machine data into a graph of related events, our users could more quickly navigate it and more accurately derive useful insight from it than in the absence of that contextual structure.
In addition, if the architecture of Observe could leverage concepts such as elastic compute and cloud storage then it could be an order of magnitude cheaper as well.
