The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for de-escalation in the tensions between India and China.
Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson to UN Secretary-General, made the remarks when he was asked to comment on the issue during the press briefing on Tuesday (local time).
The United Nations in a press briefing on December 14 (local time) called for a de-escalation between India-China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh.
“We've seen these reports. We call for de‑escalation and to ensure that the tensions along...in that area do not grow,” said Stéphane Dujarric, the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
