Live at the Cash Cabin Studio features live performances from the historical private studio built in 1979 by Johnny Cash. John Carter Cash owns and operates the cabin and is often the host and/or a performer. Each series of videos is surrounded by a central theme. The first theme in the series is "Murder Ballads." In this series, virtuoso guitarist and visionary artist Justin Johnson joins John Carter. The two continue after the song into conversation, delving into the story behind the music and the history before and beyond. Live from Cash Cabin Studio isn't only about hearing powerful music. Beyond a musical presentation, this is a journey through the ever-unfolding tale of American Music.
