Typically when a Nissan GTR variant of any kind is added in Gran Turismo, its a safe bet that its going to be a phenomenal performance car. This version though, the 2024 shape T Spec, is strangely underwhelming given its near 20 year legacy...

''Rumours had circulated that production of the GT-R would conclude with the 2022 model, but in reality, Nissan was she diligently working on further developments. This became evident with the unveiling of the 2024 model at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon.

Two significant changes distinguished the 2024 model from its 2022 predecessor. The first was the development of a new muffler system designed to meet the stricter noise regulations that had fuelled speculation about the GT-R's discontinuation. This new system successfully reduced unwanted noise and vibrations without compromising engine performance.

The second update was a comprehensive exterior redesign, the first since the 2017 overhaul. The front end now features a horizontal line across the bumper, reminiscent of the iconic R34 GTR. At the rear, a redesigned bumper and the first modification to the rear wing geometry since the R35's debut subtly push the attachment points further back. These enhancements increased downforce without adding drag.

Beneath the surface, several improvements were also made. For instance, the accelerometers in the electronically controlled suspension was upgraded to more sensitive units, resulting in better traction control and a noticeably smoother ride compared to previous models.''
