Thousands had gathered to mourn the death of a Muslim spiritual leader in India.
But the tribute turned to tragedy when a stampede broke out, killing at least 18 people and injuring dozens more.
The crush happened as well-wishers converged on the home of Syedna Mohamed Burhanuddin, in Mumbai's upmarket Malabar Hill area to see his body.
"There were lots of people pouring in and there was not much attention given from the side of government or the police," said Hasin, one of the mourners.
"They should have been here and they should have managed this."
Syedna Mohamed Burhanuddin, the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community, died on Friday at the age of 102.
