I wanted to interview Mossyrock Mayor Sasser and let him speak in his own words about why he, his city council, and most of the community have taken this very public stance against Governor Jay Inslee's lockdown orders. Many local people have complained about the highly edited news reports which have come out of their communities lately, and I wanted to make sure people could hear these local leaders in their own, unedited or scripted words explain themselves.

For those who wonder where the name comes from, it originally referenced a large 200' tall rock nearby the town that was a geographical reference to local traders and travelers in the early 1850s. The rock is still there, but it is mostly concealed by trees, so you have to hike up and see it in person.
The mayor's direct email is mayor@cityofmossyrock.com and Mayor Randall Sasser and his City Council's efforts to protect local businesses from the abuse of Washington State Governor Inslee's lockdown recently expanded under the Governor's never-ending emergency proclamation program.
