Here is my old fordson major, I am proud to have one of these amazing machines, I know a lot of its history from speaking to its previous owner, it used to be on a which only used to pull beet harvesters that got stuck, out of the fields in kings Lynn, in Norfolk, it was supplied by j.j. wright and sons in Dereham, in Norfolk. it seems as though it has very little wear throughout the engine and gearbox, the engine is stuck from standing and some water down the exhaust, but it has been stood underneath, trees, which means it has only had a smaller amount of water go in than if it had been stood in a field, it seems to have very little to no wear in the clutch linkages and the break linkages too, as sometimes with the fordsons that have been heavily used they can have lots of play in the linkages, I was surprised to see that the 3 point linkage balls were free too.
I hope you enjoy
