Here is a video walk through of my new crankbait rod and reel setup, the St. Croix Legend Glass extreme, Shimano Curado 200 and a sexy KVD crankbait. I have been waiting on my new rod to arrive for two months because they have been on back order, I was like a kid on Christmas morning when it finally arrived. The new glass is amazing, the subtle action and sensitivity is truly amazing. I paired the rod with the tested Shimano Curado 200, let me tell you, it is phenomenal. For the money I am not sure it can be beat. I went with a 6-3.1 gear ratio, just enough speed and plenty torque to pull those fish from cover. I spooled the reel with 12lb test fluorocarbon Seaguar.
