Wow - what can I say? My Patagonia 4-day expedition cruise with boutique cruise liner Australis was extraordinary. It was part of a longer trip to Chile and Argentina but the four days I spent on board Ventus Australis (a brand new ship) will forever hold a special place in my heart. Patagonia is a surreal land at the end of the world where few people ever get to explore. Each day was filled with amazing hikes where we saw extraordinary scenery in the Tierra del Fuego like glaciers, moraines and sweeping panoramas of the snow-capped Andes. We also saw fabulous wildlife (penguins, condors, dolphins) and made it onto Cape Horn Island, the very southernmost point of South America. And life on board was every bit as fabulous, with great crew, cabins, cuisine and wines.
