It's been a few years since I've done a bandit assault, so I decided to see what it's like on East. Surprisingly Bridgewatch is still the dominant faction in Albion Online. There's far more players on the East server so bandit assaults get kind of wild. Bandit assault is a red zone faction PvP game mode where opposing factions have to fight over territory around Caerleon, and the winning faction that controls the most zones at the end of a 1 hour timer wins bonus faction points. It's a great way for new players to get silver and fame tomes with some slight risk.
