Consider further when you make a Birth Plan. You are choosing between two things mostly ... yes or no.
In this lesson you'll learn about the two Birth Plans, the three Birth Roles, Teamwork (teamwork is always at least two), three births (which one do you want?) and two birthing behaviors. If you only read one of these ... read the two birthing behaviors. You want to know these skills and so will your partner/coach. You want them to know exactly when to help you cope, manage, work through, deal with, handle, stay on top of and feel in control.
One list of birthing behaviours explains exactly what women are doing when they cope well. The other list is what you'll do and sound like when you're not managing birth well.
All Birthing Better skills were developed by hundreds of fathers and mothers in the early 1970s. We wanted effective, sustainable birth and coaching skills that we could learn in our own home and use throughout our baby's birth journey.
Our focus was on our own ability to use skills to work through the activity of birthing our babies no matter where we birthed, who was present or what the circumstances of our pregnancy and birth.
