A flashy and vibrant electric blue Australian boulder opal is the centerpiece of this unique necklace. This piece exhibits some exposed ironstone and vivid violet-blue opal, which is crowned with three 3mm faceted amethyst gemstones. The boulder opal has been expertly and securely set into a handcrafted fine silver bezel, with a sterling silver backing; it is mounted on a tube bail, which lets the pendant slide smoothly along the chain, moving as you do; the amethysts have been flush set for a modern, no-prong look. The boulder opal measures 31 x 5 x 5 millimeters (at its longest and widest points), weighs 7.5 carats, and measures a 3.6 out of 5 on the brightness scale. The sterling silver chain is currently 20 inches in length, (but can be shortened upon request) and is finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp.
The necklace in the photos is the exact one you will receive!
I use primarily reclaimed silver, eco-friendly processing, crafting, and polishing techniques, locally-sourced materials whenever possible. I handcraft each of my pieces individually; none of the settings are cast or pre-fabricated. All photos were taken using only sunlight as the lighting source.
