We almost always use Doubler2 in its default preset which doubles and delays the signal and detunes each channel in the value specified in the DETUNE box. This has the advantage of expanding or creating #stereo without generating a #chorus effect.
But if we apply a value other than zero to the DEPTH boxes, the value of DETUNE will be modulated as we can clearly hear if we exaggerate DEPTH. This is the real #microshift effect.
Additionally we can apply positive and negative values to each channel respectively to make the effect more complex and more unpredictable.
Now, a really interesting option is OCT. These low an octave exact the detuned and modulated signal with an impressive tracking accuracy. This allows to increase the difference between the direct signal and the effect to make it more evident or as a creative stereo effect.
We can also change the speed with which DEPTH modulates DETUNE.
