Between 1966 and 1970 Northern Ireland Railways ran spoil trains from a quarry at Magheramorne to the foreshore at Belfast to aid the construction of the M2 motorway. They usually had 20 wagons and a WT class 2-6-4T at each end. The last train ran on 5th May 1970 and carried a commemorative headboard.
In this clip Stanfording Heritage Railway re-creates the event with NCC WT No.6, GNR(I) S class No.171 and its stock of GNR ballast wagons.
