The Encyclopedia of Diversity in Education, edited by James A. Banks, is the most comprehensive reference work related to diversity published to date. It contains 700 articles written by noted scholars in the United States and around the world. In the book launch of this publication, the editor of the volume as well as several of the scholars on the faculty of TC who contributed to the Encyclopedia will discuss key issues in diversity that are based on the articles they wrote for the Encyclopedia. The topics discussed by the TC faculty members will include diversity as it relates to social studies education, teacher preparation and early childhood education, online assessment, mathematics teacher preparation, and culturally anchored liberal education.
