It's finally here - the 5F Experimental Weapon Stabilizer dropped two days early, and I immediately grabbed one so I could slap 6 Medium Salvation Plasma Chargers on my Cutter.
The results are absolutely GLORIOUS!
With a little help from the Multi-Hit Bug (Issue Tracker: [ Ссылка ] ) and only BASIC ammo, Cyclopes can be outright deleted in two seconds with 2 volleys. Exerting Basilisk and Medusa hearts is a breeze, though I strongly recommend setting up a separate Heartsniping firegroup with converging hardpoints to take the hearts out (...yeah, I may have forgotten to do that in the Medusa fight in my excitement🤦♂️). Hydrae kills are definitely within the realm of possibility with such a setup, but unfortunately I misplaced the one I was shooting when I went to synth some Heatsinks. I'll have to track it down later when I restock my material stores...
Power and Distributor Draw are going to be an issue with 6 Medium SPCs, as they collectively draw 16.92 MW from the Powerplant and 33.36 MW from the Weapon Capacitor while charging @ 0 Pips. I'd recommend an 8A Armored | Monstered Powerplant and a 7A Charge Enhanced | Super Conduits or Weapon Focused | Super Conduits Power Distributor to run them.
You'll only be able to charge a single volley at 4 Pips into Weapons, so banking volleys and allowing your Distributor to recharge before engaging is a must.
That all said, I'm having fun with this loadout... but it's completely upended the strategies I developed in my upcoming Heartskipping guide, so I'll have to rewrite it again... again.
