The Advanced Aircraft Simulation Centre (AASC) is a shared resource for the International Tactical Training Centre (ITTC) and the International Test Pilots School in London, Ontario. The simulator centre houses:
- four (4) F-16C Combat Simulators
- four (4) F/A-18E Combat Simulators
- four (4) F-35 Combat Simulators
- one (1) Boeing 787 Commercial Aircraft Simulator
- one (1) eVTOL Simulator
- one (1) AH-64D Rotary Wing Simulator
- one (1) Leonardo AW139 Rotary Wing Simulator
- one (1) VSS Simulator
Mixed reality generates impressive unlimited processing and the ability to incrementally change from a 100% synthetic to a real-world environment. Pilots are able to practice maneouvres that may be too dangerous in actual missions.
A Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environment connects actual aircraft and computer-generated forces with aircraft simulators in real-time for joint exercises and training in a mixed reality combat theatre.
There is also a large modern Mission Theatre and a separate briefing room for use by ITTC and a six-station Telemetry Room used primarily by ITPS.
