Join us and our beautiful dog, Summer, for a peaceful walk in Monrovia, California. This Los Angeles suburb has plenty of charm, with historic and characterful homes, and we even met peacocks wandering the streets, as they regularly do here! You'll see several lovely examples of 'storybook' homes, California bungalows, Spanish colonial and adobe styles, and some modern mansions, too.
We begin on El Nido, heading north. After crossing Hillcrest, you can spot the house on the hillside that sits next to the giant 'M.' We turn onto Crescent, looking west toward Arcadia, then head south on Madison Avenue. We get some great views over the San Gabriel Valley, and you can spot the tower of historic Monrovia High School.
The peacocks appear toward the end of the video, visiting residents' houses, roosting on a fence, and generally walking around as though they own the place, as is their way! Summer, having met them before, was a very good girl!
We end on Foothill Boulevard, and take a look at the electrical box decorated with a commemoration of Route 66 - the road and the song!
Relax and enjoy! And if you like this video, please consider subscribing! Thank you!
