We recently partnered with @SocialDocumentaryNetwork on a series of project reviews on The Crit House.
One of those reviewers, Amber Bracken, was recently given the 2022 World Press Photo of the Year award for this image of an installation commemorating the children who died at the Kamloops Indian Residential School, an institution created to assimilate Indigenous children. This award-winning image was taken after detecting as many as 215 unmarked graves of those children.
Amber talks about the image and what she did in making it.
