What will it be like living with the Kia Carens? Here are three things to know about its service and warranty:
First, there is an inspection service within a month or 1000km, which is just to check out the car. No parts will be replaced in this service. The regular service interval is 1 year or 10,000km, whichever is earlier. If you are using your car regularly in bad traffic or very dusty conditions, Kia recommends a service interval of 6 months or 5,000km.
Second, the service costs. Over a five year period, you can expect to spend about Rs. 5000 per service, which is excellent.
Third, the warranty options. Carens gets a standard warranty of 3 years with unlimited kilometers, which can be extended to 5 years for an extra cost of Rs. 22,000. But if your usage isn’t much, you can opt for a 5 years or 120,000km warranty for an additional Rs. 18,000.
