Last week the Amazing @paulhibbert from Hibbert Home Tech did a video where he showed how you could get any smart home doorbell to stream automatically to your TV using some clever tasker routines, some APK installs and any Android TV device.

One of the challenges was getting this to work with Fire TV devices, and he posed the question of how this could be done. In this video I wanted to do an unofficial follow up showing how, if you have a Fire TV device and a compatible camera you could use an Alexa routine to trick your Fire TV device into thinking you'd given it a command to display the doorbell camera when someone presses the button.

While this won't work with absolutely every camera, its a quick and easy way to get your doorbell displaying on your TV if it already plays nicely with the Alexa ecosystem. You can also add an additional layer using @IFTTT if you want to add additional steps to the routine such as blinking lights or controlling other devices that don't work with Alexa routines.
