Winterizing your pool not only protects the pool from storms and freezing temperatures, but the vital (and pricey) pool equipment too. Here is a short and sweet list of the benefits of closing your pool for winter:

❄️ Clearing water from the plumbing equipment and lines protects the pump, filter, and other equipment from freeze damage.
❄️ Covering your pool with a winter or safety cover keeps debris and contaminants from entering the stagnant pool water. It also helps prevent your pool from freezing during an extreme cold-snap.
❄️ Adding winter chemicals to your pool keeps the water clean, clear, and balanced during its hiatus. This will make pool opening a much easier process come springtime!
