Modern Warfare II was released in the year of 2022 and is a completely separate release from the original Modern Warfare 2 released in 2009. The game is a spiritual remake of the original. It features a heavily revamped story and multiplayer with a Spec Ops mode that barely resembles the original iteration of the mode.
MWII is a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare and is still considered to be a part of the Warzone timeline (at the time of this videos creation.)
