The only reason these engine survived the test of time and demands of industry is down to its extremely simple design and very robust build. These engines are still fitted in almost all of the survived Humber Keel barges and although the spares are becoming more and more difficult to find the fleet of this engines keeps pushing old British barges ahead at cruising speed.
