Founded in 1982, the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition is considered the career springboard for aspiring young opera singers.

This year, Cape Town Opera, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, the University of Cape Town and Artscape Theatre Centre are proud hosts of the 35th illustrious event, for the first time outside of Europe.
